Lisa Staeven is a member of the firm's litigation practice section where she focuses on general civil litigation and real estate matters.

Ms. Staeven joined the firm in 1998 as a paralegal in the firm's commercial real estate department.  She has assisted in the representation of lenders and developers in all aspects of commercial, multifamily and residential lending, such as acquisitions, title insurance underwriting and coverage, litigation support  and contract negotiations. 

While earning her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law and continuing her paralegal duties with the firm, Ms. Staeven worked as a student attorney in the University of Baltimore’s Community Development Clinic.  As a student attorney, she provided a wide variety of transactional legal services to under-served communities in Baltimore City, including assisting community associations, non-profit organizations and small business owners with the legal aspects of formation, operations and financing, real estate acquisition and financing, and other matters.

Ms. Staeven also serves as a volunteer court appointed special advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children in Anne Arundel County.
