Heather Swan is a member of Carney, Kelehan, Bresler, Bennett and Scherr’s real estate practice where she focuses on commercial real estate transactions.
Ms. Swan’s clients turn to her during all phases of commercial real estate transactions from contract negotiations through closing and development. She is also well versed in entity formation and title insurance matters. Ms. Swan represents land developers forming subdivisions and condominiums as well as landlords and tenants in commercial lease negotiations.
Ms. Swan has significant experience representing lenders and borrowers. This includes her work as lender’s counsel in Housing and Urban Development-financed multi-family housing projects and in Fannie Mae transactions.
Ms. Swan joined CarneyKelehan in June 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Swan was a lawyer with Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC, where she handled commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, and general business matters. While earning her law degree from Catholic University, Ms. Swan acted as a student attorney in the Advocacy for the Elderly law clinic, the school’s nationally-ranked clinical program.Practices
